The Japanese Domestic Market (JDM) Vehicle Buying Process

From Japanese Auctions and Local Market to Your Canada Driveway – Here's How We Do It

At Japan Canada Motors, we make it easy to own a high-quality Japanese Domestic Market (JDM) vehicle. Whether you're buying off our lot or importing a specific model through our team in Japan, our process is simple, transparent, and built around trust.

Why Buy a JDM Vehicle?

JDM vehicles are engineered for Japan’s local market—often with features, trim levels, and reliability standards not available in North America. Thanks to Japan’s strict inspection system and excellent public transit, JDM vehicles are typically well-maintained and have lower mileage compared to used Canadian vehicles.

Only vehicles 15 years or older can be imported to Canada, but that just means you’re getting a timeless, road-tested machine that delivers incredible value.
